CAMP SOUTHERN GROUND

Positive Legacy is pleased to be working with Zac Brown BandCamp Southern Ground. Camp Southern Ground’s mission is to operate a camp to allow children to overcome academic, social and emotional difficulties so they may reach their full potential and provide the tools necessary to achieve excellence in all facets of their lives. Camp Southern Ground serves children from all backgrounds, races and religions with a special focus on those young people with neurobehavioral needs; at risk populations and children from military families. The mission of Camp Southern Ground is to provide extraordinary experiences for individuals to recognize and magnify the unique gifts within themselves and others to profoundly impact the world.

During summer, Camp Southern Ground hosts campers for week-long residential camps. For the remaining weeks of the year, they support military and veteran families, and partner with proven organizations that host remarkable programs at their state-of-the-art facility. Additionally, the facility can be leased for retreats, corporate events and galas.

As an inclusive camp, they serve children ages 7-17, from all socioeconomic backgrounds, races and religions, with programs that challenge, educate, and inspire. They bring together typically developing children, children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), learning and attention issues such as ADHD, and Dyslexia, and social or emotional challenges. They also support and include children of military families as a vital part of our camper population.

In 2018 we auctioned a one of a kind autographed guitar for $5,750, all of which was given to Camp Southern Ground to support their projects!

In 2017 Positive Legacy provided a $6225 to continue our support of Zac Brown and his mission!

During the 2016 Castaway Festival, Positive Legacy awarded Camp Southern Ground a $11,360 grant.
