AMERICAN CHILDREN'S ORCHESTRAS FOR PEACE
In January 2016, Positive Legacy awarded American Children’s Orchestras for Peace a $4324 grant.
American Children’s Orchestras for Peace works within the communities in the Miami-Dade County area to provide instruments and free lessons to at-risk children. Through access to music education, they hope to improve individual achievements, social skills, parental involvement, and most importantly-children’s lives. American Children’s Orchestras for Peace is working to break the cycle of poverty and hopelessness that leads to juvenile violence.
Their mission is to “create for our children, through music, an environment free of violence.”
