Lockdowns and travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 crisis are making life more difficult than usual in our partner Trees, Water & People's (TWP) program communities. In both Central America and Pine Ridge, South Dakota, thousands of families are experiencing reduced access to food, basic goods, and drinking water as supply lines are cut to and from their communities.
Currently, they are coordinating emergency food and water distribution for over 3,000 families through their expert network of partners in Guatemala, El Salvador, Honduras, Nicaragua, and South Dakota. With the help of Ceres Trust they have already raised $20,000 to send directly to the partners on Pine Ridge, but this will only help reach a fraction of the families that are in need as this crisis will impact them well beyond May.
By DONATING TODAY, you are helping vulnerable families weather this emergency, which could continue for weeks or months. When we all come together, we get further.
