We want to say thanks to all The Avett Brothers fans who helped us leave a Positive Legacy At The Beach! We’re lucky to connect with such an amazing group of individuals who love music and value serving others as much as we do! Shoutout to all the fans that joined us to make zero-waste Tawashi sponges from recycled T-shirts. Even if we weren’t the best at this Japanese art form, we shared some laughs and made some friends along the way.
For this year’s Day of Service, we teamed up with Mike’s Amazing and Fundación RCD to assemble food and supply bags made from recycled hotel uniforms. Both DOS sessions sold out, and 50 volunteers helped us pack 300 bags with the ingredients to make eight meals for a family of four, proving that small actions really can make a big impact. The time that we spent together was a delight, especially when it was poolside and BINGO was involved. The crew helped us raise $1,300 playing the game of chance while enjoying margaritas under the sun and a few lucky gamblers even took home photos from the PL archives.
On our final day in paradise, we were blessed by the beautiful songs of Langhorne Slim who played an unplugged acoustic set as the clock counted down the last hour of our silent auction. Two guests even went head-to-head in our most exhilarating live auction to date, vying against one another for the prized, autographed drumhead and helping us set an At The Beach auction record raising over $40,000! We are already looking forward to the next time we get to share in the magic and joy of this incredible event and music community!
