HOLY SHIP! WRECKED

2023 RECAP

Thank you to the ShipFam and artists who supported Positive Legacy’s mission to integrate music and service while we were in Mexico. You certainly know how to party with a purpose!

Day of Service & Cultural Connection

We took a crew of dedicated ShipFam to Xpuha Beach in Puerto Aventuras, just minutes from the Hard Rock, for a special day of service! Upon arrival, we were led down a boardwalk through tropical mangroves and arrived at the tip of the Dune Resort. We were greeted by the crystal blue ocean and white sand beach and also our friends from the RCD Foundation. We were all given gloves and a bag and spent the morning getting our hands in the sand and assisting with a much needed beach cleanup. After completing the morning projects, we were treated to live music from the local band, The Tree Funkers, ate a delicious lunch prepared by the members of the community and swam in the beautiful Caribbean sea before heading back to the resort. Thanks to those who took time out of their vacations to give back!

Charity Auction

This year's auction and fundraising activities raised a cool $7000 to support Positive Legacy’s mission and partners in Mexico. A huge shout out to all the artists and fans who donated items, as well as Josh Timmermans, Dave Vann and Keith Zacharski for donating their beautiful photography, and most especially to all the event guests who supported us with their bids.

Big ups to the event patrons who brought school & medical supplies, participated in our activities and made donations to Positive Legacy…so much love!

2022 RECAP

Holy Ship! Wrecked your generosity this year was next level!  In just 4 days we made a noticeable difference for the local community.

  • You came in hot and ready to work on the Day of Service!

  • Together and in conjunction with Fundación RCD we painted the interior of the Cadi Pto Aventuras school, improved the infrastructure AND built 2 jungle gyms.

  • Your medical and school supply donations filled an entire truckload and will be distributed asap to the local and outlying communities. Photos to come!

  • And to close it our we raised $10,000 through the silent auction.

We are beyond grateful for the HSW community. Your energy and spirit for music is as big as your hearts.

Thank you ShipFam!

2021 RECAP

As we wrap up Holy Ship! Wrecked 2021, we want to thank the ShipFam who supported the 'Bid For Positive: Holy Ship! Wrecked Auction’ and participated in our Day of Service presented by Mike’s Amazing. Your generosity helped us raise over $8,000 that will be used for our continuing environmental and humanitarian causes. And, a killer team helped us package 150 food and supply bags / 1200 meals coordinated by Fundación RCD for the good people of Quintana Roo with the help of Kaivon & the Lisbona Sisters. We look forward to the next time we get shipwrecked together!

HOLY SHIP! RECAP (2015 - 2021)

Positive Legacy first sailed on Holy Ship! in 2015. With the support of ShipFam, Positive Legacy has raised almost $100,000 for nonprofit organizations in need throughout the U.S. and the Caribbean!

Funds raised on HS have supported:

  • Providing food and supplies to families in need throughout Quintana Roo, Mexico

  • Ecoservices and La Fundación Ecoturismo Responsable, two organizations in the Dominican Republic that encourage a connection between local communities, waste management and tourism

  • Coral reef restoration throughout the Bahamas

  • All Hands and Hearts – Smart Response to rebuild schools in communities affected by hurricanes in the U.S. and Eastern Caribbean

  • Bahamas Childrens Emergency Hostel in Nassau, which provides temporary accommodation, food, clothing, medical care and other necessities to children in need

  • American Children’s Orchestras for Peace providing instruments and free lessons to at-risk children

  • Guitars Overs Guns (GOGO) who mentors at-risk youth in the Miami area through music education and performance

We’re extremely grateful for the growing support of the ShipFam community, and we’re incredibly honored to see returning faces who support us year after year, as well as meeting new faces who are excited to get involved. Thanks to everyone for learning to #GiveAShip over the past twelve sailings and for Leaving A Positive Legacy!
