GIRLS JUST WANNA WEEKEND
2023 RECAP
It's hard to believe that this adventure could get any better, but sure enough, the fourth installment of Girls Just Wanna Weekend was nothing short of spectacular! The energy that Brandi Carlile brings to a crowd is infectious; good vibes and positive energy were plentiful throughout the event! Truly another fantastic Weekend to remember!
During our Day of Service and Cultural Connection, we had a lovely day sharing time with local children at an elementary school while helping to make improvements. We painted walls, helped with gardening, and even had the chance to dance together at the end of the school day.
Fans came out in full support of our fundraising efforts like poolside Name That Tune Bingo, the poster raffle, and of course the silent auction. We love that our auction coincides with the annual Ladies of the 80's theme night adding to the festive auction mood with shades of neon, sweatbands, leg warmers and fanny packs.
We exceeded expectations this week at the Hard Rock Hotel raising over $45,000 thanks to the Bramily! We are thankful to all of the kind & enthusiastic supporters we have in our corner at Positive Legacy & look forward to GJWW5!
2022 RECAP
We are forever grateful to everyone who supported Positive Legacy during Girls Just Wanna Weekend 3! It was an incredible 4 days of music, laughter, and love during which we got to know the Weekenders and drum up excitement about our Day of Service and Bid for Positive Online Auction. A remarkable group of fans took time out of their vacation to feed families in need. With the help of our presenting sponsor Mike’s Amazing and endless support from Fundación RCD, we filled 300 recycled bags with the ingredients to make 2,400 meals for hungry families. Our last day in paradise was jam-packed and we had a blast with everyone who joined our Tawashi craft activity and poolside BINGO. Our crafting time gave us a chance to bond together while creating upcycled eco-sponges, and "Name that Tune" BINGO raised a record-setting $2,500. Later in the evening, the bidding closed for the online auction, raising over $30,000 to support our ongoing humanitarian and environmental projects. Guests took home signed photos, a custom wrapped guitar, jewelry, and other incredible items. Thank you to everyone who took time our of their vacation to help us leave a Positive Legacy in Mexico!

Positive Legacy’s Day of Service is a fan favorite year-after-year, always selling out. We appreciate everyone who has attended one of our experiences and dedicated their morning to getting their hands dirty while experiencing the local culture.
The annual donation drive is always a huge success, where festival attendees pack school and medical supplies to bring to Mexico. Guests have donated so many goods that we’ve been able to deliver items to small, rural villages all around the region including Laguna Bacalar, Chan Veracruz, X-Hazil Sur, Noh-bec, Chacchoben, Pedro Antonio Santos, Buena Vista, Xul-Xa, Huay-Pix, Juan Serabia and Ucum. Your donations have made children and families’ lives brighter!
